Shopify fee calculator
Shopify is a footnote channel on FeeStackBase - not an eBay/FBA/Etsy pillar. This single page models Basic-style payment processing (percent + flat) and an optional platform/app percent if you choose to add one. Not Shopify Billing. Not a full Shopify P&L. Confirm card rates for your plan and country.
Estimate only — not your seller payout.
When to use — and when not to
When to use
Quick processing check next to marketplace math; shopify fee calculator thin SERP.
When not to
Marketplace FVF/FBA/Etsy stacks → those pillar calculators. Deep Shopify tax/Billing → Shopify admin.
Assumptions
Default processing 2.9% + $0.30 style; platform % default 0; optional COGS for profit row.
Worked examples
$50 sale, 2.9% + $0.30, 0% platform
Processing $1.75; payout $48.25 before COGS
Same with $12 COGS
Profit row after processing
How it calculates
processing = price × proc_pct + proc_flat platform = price × platform_pct payout = price − processing − platform
Stack the fee lines, then read payout (and profit when costs are entered).
- Enter the sale price and any buyer-paid shipping that applies.
- Confirm or override the rate defaults for your case.
- Add ads, storage, or costs only when they apply.
- Read the fee stack - estimate only, not the marketplace payout screen.
Common traps
- Plan rates differ - override processing %.
- Do not treat this as an eBay-style FVF page.
- Third-party payment apps need your own %.
