Amazon FBA calculator
FBA math is a stack: referral percent by category, fulfillment by size tier and shipping weight, then your cost of goods. This page is a planning calculator. Amazon’s Revenue Calculator / Fee Preview on a real ASIN still wins when you need the billed number.
Estimate only — not your seller payout.
When to use — and when not to
When to use
Early product research before you have an ASIN; comparing two package sizes; seeing whether a $22 price even clears a heavy unit.
When not to
Final go/no-go on a live ASIN with hazmat, apparel returns, or inbound placement — use Seller Central. Fees-only without COGS → FBA fee calculator. Deep profit focus → Amazon FBA profit calculator.
Assumptions
Default referral 15% (override by category). Fulfillment from a simplified US stub you can edit. Storage off by default. Optional other fees and ads.
Worked examples
Price $29.99, referral 15%, fulfillment stub, COGS $10
Referral ≈ $4.50; fulfillment from your stub; profit after COGS shown
Package dims change tier — measure the ship-ready unit.
Same unit at $9.99
Effective fee % rises on cheap heavy goods
Confirm low-price FBA eligibility in Central.
How it calculates
referral = price × referral_pct fulfillment = editable estimate amazon_fees = referral + fulfillment + other + ads proceeds = price − amazon_fees profit = proceeds − cogs − inbound
Stack the fee lines, then read payout (and profit when costs are entered).
- Enter sell price and referral %.
- Set a fulfillment estimate for your size tier.
- Add COGS / inbound if you have them.
- Read the fee stack and rough profit.
Common traps
- Dimensional weight / oversized blows fulfillment.
- Referral is not always 15%.
- Storage and inbound placement can erase a “good” screenshot.
- This is not Fee Preview.

FAQ
A planning stack: referral percent on price, an editable fulfillment dollar stub, optional ads, and optional COGS / inbound when you want profit. It is not Amazon Fee Preview by ASIN size tier.
